Building Trust & Customer Perception in a Hospital

The Orientation programme on “Building Trust & Customer Perception in a Hospital” was organized by the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy, Elayampalayam, on August 4th 2018 at the SVCP Board Hall.

The theme of the programme was to improve the skills of the pharmacist and to get focused on customer perception. The program started at 01.30 pm with the welcome note by Dr. G.Murugananthan, Principal, Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy. Mr.Pandiya Raju, HR - Trainer and Mr.Madhiyazhagan, Organizer, Sanjeevani Programme, Dr. Reddy’s foundation for health education delivered their felicitation address and elaborated the importance of customer’s trust in a hospital.

The participants included 13 Pharm.D interns, 02 M.Pharm students, 03 Hospital Pharmacists and 11 Faculty members of various disciplines.

Mr.K.R.Gnana Sambandhan, Soft skill Trainer addressed the gathering about the various instances that are to be focused in developing the skills of a pharmacist. He also elaborated on the various self-evaluatory methods that a pharmacist should carry out during the service. The session was quite interesting and included the techniques that are to be adopted by a pharmacist in building up trust and customer perception in a hospital setting.

Finally the programme ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dr.C.Jothimanivannan, Organizing secretary of the event.

Minimising Presecription errors – Role of Pharmacist

The Refresher programme on “Minimising Prescription Errors – Role of Pharmacist” was organized by the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy, Elayampalayam, on August 02nd 2018 at the SVCP Board Hall.

The theme of the session was to explore the possibilities of prescription errors and to minimize them. The program started at 03.30 pm with the welcome note by Dr. M.RangaPriya, Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice. Totally 38 participants that includes 28 Pharm.D students, 05 Hospital Pharmacists and 05 Faculty members were benefitted by the session.

In Session-I, Mr.Ram Kamal, Clinical Trainer, Cipla Inc., addressed the gathering about the various errors that are frequently observed in a prescription. Session- II was engaged by Mr. Prabhu, Business Executive, Cipla Inc., He elaborated on the role of pharmacist in minimizing the prescription errors. Both the sessions were very interesting and interactive.

Finally the programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. S.Anand Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice.
